Susan Fitzsimmons

LCSW

Susan is a Licensed Clinical Social worker who extensive experience with clients aged 13 through 90 who experience depression, stress, anxiety, grief, trauma and loss.  She has worked in psychiatric settings and rehabilitation centers with clients who were in emotional crisis, and those working on recovery from substance abuse while also treating mental illness.

She works collaboratively with clients in a person-centered approach to learn positive ways to address issues, handle stressors, develop awareness of thoughts and traits that no longer serve them, and focus on caring for one’s self.

Susan has experience and training using tools to help those who experience overwhelming emotions or impulsive tendencies find balance, gain control of their emotions, improve relationships, navigate transitions in their life and work toward personal goals.

Susan is a graduate of Fordham Graduate School of Social Service.
