Nanci Kennedy

LCSW – R, Child Therapist & Parent Coach 

Nanci is a licensed clinical therapist with 20 years experience of work in community agencies and schools where she worked as both a clinician and supervisor. Nanci has years of training and experience in working with children, adolescents and families.

Nanci utilizes a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in working with her clients, creating a safe environment for individuals and families in an effort to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges and make the necessary changes to improve the quality of life. Her therapeutic style is interactive, goal-directed and solution-focused.

Nanci has worked with clients aged 3 to 55, addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, family conflict, parenting issues, school problems and general dissatisfaction. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach to each client with a focus on CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and PMT (parent management training) modalities. 

Nanci graduated from Norfolk State University in 1997 with a Masters of Social Work, specializing in Children, Youth and Families.
